Live Music
Matt Joe Gow with Josie Laver 30 April 2022 - 7pm - 10pm
Music Victoria award winner Matt Joe Gow is bringing his distinctive brand of Americana music to the Tomerong Hall with special guest rising star Josie Laver. The show will be intimate and acoustic and will find Matt playing tracks across his entire career (and a few new ones) also joined on stage by Josie who will open the night. Matt came to fame as leader of alternative band The Dead Leaves and in 2009 released his debut album ‘The Messenger’ to critical & public acclaim. ‘The Messenger’ contained the popular hit ‘Come What May’ as well as guests Catherine Britt, Bill Chambers and Jim Moginie of Midnight Oil. Proving it was no fluke, Matt released his follow up ‘Seven Years’ in 2016 with strong songs such as ‘I’m Your Man’, ‘Flowers In Your Hair’ & ‘Down River’ with third album ‘Break Rattle And Roll’ deservedly winning the Victoria Music Award for Best Country Album in 2018.
